Chronology of Merapi Hot clouds

Mount Merapi back out hot clouds (wedhus gembel) since this afternoon. Not just once, successive heat clouds gush from the top of Merapi.
While the condition of Merapi from 12:00 until 18:00, Wednesday (03/11/2010) shrouded in thick fog. But the hot clouds, visible from almost all the post monitoring.
The following chronology of the eruption as reported by the website of EMR;
- 11:11 to 13:19 there hot clouds streak with a maximum duration of 2 minutes. While the weather in a state of fog and rain, so the view can not be free to the peak of Merapi.
- 13:27 and 13:30 an earthquake occurred 2 times shallow volcanic (VB).
- 14:00 to 14:03 of material large avalanches occur in succession 4 times with a maximum duration of 1 minute.
- 14:04 to 14:27 occurred a series of hot clouds with a maximum duration of 5 minutes with sliding distance is estimated to reach 10 km, so it was decided to extend the safe area until the outer radius of 15 km.
- At 14:44 there huge hot cloud for 1.5 hours.
- At 16:23 the activity began to subside.
- At 17:30 it was reported that the hot cloud around 9 km and into the flow of Kali Gendol.
Vulkonologi Centre and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) Geology and Mineral Resources Agency warned today of Merapi activity is still relatively high. The status of Merapi activity is still at the level of Awas (level 4). Communities are asked not to panic and be affected by rumors circulating about Merapi.
